Thursday and Friday of this week, St. Peter Catholic School hosts the DROM Experience for all classes.
An experiential event, DROM, is fun and engages all kids in movement that combines music, movement, drumming, rhythm and mindfulness into a powerful experience for kids.
The opportunity for all classes was provided in memorial of St. Peter CS grade 4 teacher, Chris Lajoie's mother Donna. Donna was an educator with the Dufferin - Peel Catholic School Board for over 35 years, her friends and colleagues wanted to remember her in some way and believed that providing something for children would be an appropriate honour.
"We feel very lucky to be part of this experience in memory of Donna and the Lajoie family," shared Mary Beth Tersigni McCuen, principal of St. Peter CS. "It certainly brings a unique opportunity and lots of joy to our students."
